Portion of the Appeal of Northridge Neighborhood Council against BONC.
Our elected board consists of:
• An accomplished pianist and a professor of music at CSUN, and is a longtime resident of Northridge.
• A longtime Northridge businessman and political activist and a board member of the Northridge BID (Business Improvement District), Northridge Chamber of Commerce, PRIDE, as well as various other business groups, and is Past President of the Northridge Neighborhood Council.
• A published author in Biology, a member of the Northridge Civic Association, a member of the LA County Democratic Central Committee and a longtime resident of Northridge.
• A retired hospital administrator for 33 year, has owned a printing business for 18 years, has a MS from UC Berkeley, is Past President of the North Valley Homeowners’ Association, is a Member of the first Citizens Committee for the Northridge Specific Plan, is a Board member of the Northridge BID (Business Improvement District), is a member of the Northridge Chamber of Commerce, is active with the Republican Federation, has received several awards from Mayor Riordan, Councilman Bernson and the Northridge Chamber of Commerce, and a resident of Northridge for 38 years.
• A design, computer and sound engineer for 27 years, has been a certified mediator for 7 years, and a resident of Northridge for 10 years.
• A retired teacher and junior high school principal (in Northridge) for over 30 years, President of the Northridge Civic Association, a resident of Northridge for several decades.
• A retired employee of the City of Los Angeles, working for the RTD for 31 years, a church volunteer, and a 30 year resident of Northridge.
• A retired mentor and supervising professor at CSU-LA, has a Doctorate in Education from USC, is a member of the LA County Democratic Central Committee, is a member of the Northridge Civic Association, and a longtime resident of Northridge.
• A State of CA Library Commissioner, professional Arbitrator and Mediator for over 20 years, mediated for a program for the Dept of Justice, and was a Small Claims Court trainer and mediator, was awarded a citation and written up in the Congressional Record, is a member of the LA County Democratic Central Committee, is Treasurer of the Democratic Party Business and Professions Caucus, has received several awards for community service including two from Councilman Hal Bernson, and is a 23 year Northridge resident.
• A consultant to the LA County Board of Education and longtime Northridge resident.
• A Certified Public Accountant for 33 years, has a Masters Degree from CSU-LA and another Masters Degree from Golden Gate University, had their own business for over 25 years, has been on the Northridge Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the San Fernando Chamber of Commerce, on the board of various charities, received several awards from the City of Los Angeles for volunteer work, and is a 26 year resident of Northridge.
• A journalist, a member of the LA County Democratic Central Committee, a member of the Northridge Civic Association, and is a longtime Northridge resident.
• A librarian and archivist at a major regional university, BA and MA degree from CSUN, has been a consultant and contractor for audio visual entertainment systems, a musician and is a 49 year resident of Northridge.
• An Education consultant and contractor to the FBI, IT (information technology) Manager, member of Integrated Resources Plan for Los Angeles, has been a member of Councilman Bernson’s Citizens Advisory Council, received several awards for service from the City of Los Angeles, and is a 30 year resident of Northridge.
