DONE staff and the LA Attorneys office still demands that we ban all stakeholder votes and the board make all decision for the community. Your board and the stakeholders have previously refused to eliminate the stakeholders rights granted by the charter and now have given up this format.

File Number 96-1157 This is the Los Angeles City ordinance authorizing the Neighborhood Councils which clearly shows that the councils are independent of the City Government.
LA City Ordinance 174006 This is the Los Angeles City ordinance amending the Neighborhood Councils Ordinance requiring that the General Manager of the Department be directed to provide monthly status reports to the full Council on implementation of the plan.
