3-20-02 Meeting Agenda

The Northridge Community Council will hold its next meeting on March 20, 7 pm, at Northridge Hospital Penthouse (18300 Roscoe Blvd). Parking to be in the parking structure on Etiwanda, south of Roscoe. The penthouse is on the fifth floor of the building north of the parking structure (toward Roscoe).

Along with being E-mailed this agenda will also be posted at the Northridge Library, Porter Ranch Library and Northridge Park by 3-10-02.

The "Council" consists of all Northridge stakeholders. A Stakeholder is defined as anyone who lives, works or owns property in the area (Los Angeles City Charter, Sec 906(3)). The Council votes on all issues; the Officers and Directors also vote as they are stakeholders. The Officers and Directors make no policy decisions for the council.

All stakeholders will have an opportunity to address the meeting on each agenda item and can make a 3 minute comment on issues that are not on the agenda in the Public Comment time.

4. OLD BUSINESS

A - Discussion and update Charles Brink

Report on the LAUSD the Final Environmental Impact Report on their planned high school, to be constructed on the CSUN campus (location is on Zelzah, north of Plummer). and the 3-19-02 meeting

We have activated our Education committee. It's next project will be the response to the entire EIR for proposed High School due on 3-19-02

Go here for information about the CSUN-LAUSD Proposed High School and Prairie Street Elementary school which will be destroyed and converted to a parking lot as current LAUSD projections do not indicate a demand for elementary seats in Northridge.


5 NEW BUSINESS

A - Walter Prince Report reports the status of our application for certification

We completed our application to become a certified council as approved at our 10-17-01 meeting. Click here for the application

B - Charles Brink report on action to clean the public portions of our streets (Illegal signs, Grafts, and dumping).
