8-21-02 Meeting Agenda

The Northridge Community Council will hold its next meeting on August 21, 7:30 pm, at Northridge Hospital in the& Penthouse in the institute for living (18300 Roscoe Blvd). Park in the parking structure on Etiwanda, south of Roscoe. The penthouse is on the fifth floor of the building north of the parking structure (toward Roscoe). Direction signs will be posted.

The Northridge Council consists of all Northridge stakeholders. A Stakeholder is defined as anyone who lives, works or owns property in the area (Los Angeles City Charter, Sec 906(3)). Stakeholders vote on all& advise the council makes to LA City. The Officers and Directors make internal decisions for the council.

We will ask you to sign in at the meeting and please provide an E-mail address so we may notify you of meetings and addresses. See our privacy policy. Under the Brown Act you are not required to sign in or provide any information to speak or participate. All stakeholders will have an opportunity to address the meeting on each agenda item and can make a 3 minute comment on issues that are not on the agenda in the Public Comment time.

A. Approve 7-17-02 minutes. Walter Prince

B. Report on certification processes and congress of neighborhood councils. Charles Brink and  Walter Prince.

C. Continuing problems with non-residential uses on the  Aqueduct south of Nordhoff. Walter Prince

D. Report on Planning commissions decision to change the Porter ranch master plan to allow drive through fast food restaurants. Jane Lowenthall.

D. Treasurers report and pass the hat as it is our only funding source. Andy Anderson.


3 New Business

A. At 7:45Pm time certain, Judy Nutter and others from CSUN will present the proposed street vacations and CSUN traffic impact. They will respond to the stakeholders questions. Charles Brink.

B. Cross and tower on church in Porter ranch
