President Walter N. Prince, acting president, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Prince introduced Roger Martin, San Fernando Valley Project Manager for MTA’s North County Area Team. Martin gave a brief overview of the criteria and research being conducted to determine new busway routes and other transit options for the Valley. Prince then introduced Jane Lowenthal as the moderator for a Candidate forum. Eight local residents were on hand to explain their platforms as potential City Councilpersons for the proposed First Council District for the proposed new Valley city that is on the November 5, 2002 ballot.
The candidate presentations were followed by questions from the audience.
Prince thanked the audience and the candidates for appearing.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
