The Northridge Community Council will hold its next meeting on January 15, 7:30 pm, at our a new location at Holmes Middle School 9351 Paso Robles Ave. map
The Northridge Council consists of all Northridge stakeholders. A Stakeholder is defined as anyone who lives, works or owns property in the area (Los Angeles City Charter, Sec 906(3)). Stakeholders vote on all& advise the council makes to LA City. The Officers and Directors make internal decisions for the council.
We will ask you to sign in at the meeting and please provide an E-mail address so we may notify you of meetings and addresses. See our privacy policy. Under the Brown Act you are not required to sign in or provide any information to speak or participate. All stakeholders will have an opportunity to address the meeting on each agenda item and can make a 3 minute comment on issues that are not on the agenda in the Public Comment time.

1. Call to order, General comments by Charles Brink in Walters absence

B. Treasurers report and pass the hat as it is our only funding source. Andy Anderson.
A The Los Angeles Fire Department presentation on the location of a replacement fire station in the Balboa Devonshire area and the Air operations at Van Nuys Airport has been continued at their request to our January 15, 2003 meeting.
The Fire Department on progress in building facilities as a result of the bonds passed in 2001.B. Nominations for Board of Directors. Our bylaws called for the 7 directors with highest votes to have two year terms and the rest to have one year terms. We had 14 candidates for 15 seats and all were elected with the same number of votes. A number of directors will resign to allow their seats to be voted on at our next meeting.
C. Proposed Bylaw Changes negotiated between DONE and by Jane Lowenthal for discussion and a possible vote at our next meeting. Unless we make these changes DONE refuses to bring the vote on our certification to the commission.
D the community is asked to comment on issues that they think is important concerning Northridge as a community.
