The Northridge Community Council will hold its next meeting on November 21, 7:30 pm, at Northridge Hospital Penthouse ( 18300 Roscoe Blvd). Parking to be in the parking structure on Etiwanda, south of Roscoe. The penthouse on the fifth floor of the building north of the parking structure (toward Roscoe).
We are a Town Hall form where every stakeholder (property owner, resident and employed, including business owners, in the area) in the community will be able to vote on every issue. All votes count equally and there is no miniature city council telling you what is the " best" for Northridge.
We're soliciting the community to bring forward items of concern for future meeting agendas.

Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: ADOPT the accompanying RESOLUTION relative to SPONSORSHIP of federal legislation instructing the IRS to share business tax information with cities identifying businesses paying federal taxes and located in that city but not registered as a business by that city, thereby establishing a position of SUPPORT in the City's 2001-02 Legislative Program. Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the Chief Legislative Analyst.
The city wants to tax every home business that files a Federal Schedule "C". Note the LA Tax is on gross receipts (total sales) not on profits, with a substantial minimum tax and various penalties. So if you are selling online or doing any home based business that's is invisible from the street, LA Wants the Feds to give you up so they can tax you.
